By Halfshaft to you mean CV Axle?

If so just tap the axle through the hub with a center punch, pull it all the way out and then get under the trans and tap the axel out. Get a pan tho its gonna leak fluid.

Cut the shafts??? What do you mean? they just pop out with a hammer and prybar. Unless you talkin about at the boots you want to just cut them then yeah. Then hit the hub off to separate it from the axel. Hold on Im at work Ill gett the proper name for the stuff so I won't confuse you.

he wants to sell the tranny but not take time to remove the shafts ...
one of my car club members launched his tranny could be pushed forward but not in reverse so we pushed it on a trailer but had to cut the shafts to roll it off
