When my 95 avenger ES is running, when i put it in gear i can here a sort of almost ticking/grinding sound for about 1 second then nothing. The car drives and feels normal and doesn't make the sound while moving(from what i can hear) It only happens when the car is sitting and i put it in gear. Iv check the tranny fluid and its full and red, doesn't smell or look likes its burning.

Any help on what it could be, or if i should be worried would be great.

 

Normal operation it's the relay packs clicking ....

I have a sorta whisling sound when im getting up to speeds around 50mph. it stops when i take my foot off the gas but then comes back when i push on the gas again? Almost sounds like a cold air intake but i know i don't have that. Normal? Has been doing this since i got it. Sounds like the tranny

 

it might be the air intake stock box can whistle some

 

I have the same whistling noise but I've never had a performance problem. Sounds like something normal to me.
