Default 96 Dodge Avenger questions..

I know someone that is selling a 1996 Dodge avenger so I have a few questions about theese cars.Its a straight 4 2.0 liter(i think).Manual transmission.
1.Does it get good gas milage?
2.I heard that basically any engine that is 4 or 6 cylinder and is not japaneese is "garbage"...is this true for the dodge avenger engine?
3.If I put a turbo on it is there anything special I have to do to the engine or can the engine handle a turbo at stock?
4.Is the transmission on avengers good?
5.does it have power locks and windows?
6.whats the max RPM the engine can reach?
7.is it a fast car?
8.are there any downsides to this car like something that easily brakes?
9.all in all are dodge avengers good cars?

Gas mileage should be around 30mpg ...
since the engine is mitsubishi that kind of blows the japanese thing ....
depends on mileage and condition... if it's high mileage get a compression test on all cylinders any weak cylinders can cause troubles ...
trannys are good ... can handle 300 hp , but again you need to check the clutch for condition ...
well you have to look I'm not psychic , it may or may not have power windows/locks
not sure on redline on the 4 ...
not fast in 4cyl stock trim
brakes warp easily but aftermarket rotors help ...
they are good cars ...

The 2.5 v6 is mitsu but the 2.0 DOHC is all chrysler. It is a good engine rock solid bottom end. Here is a link for all you need to know on the 420a enginehttp://www.allpar.com/mopar/2dohc.html. The manual tranny is a New Venture t350.

If you look under the hood the car has a mitsubishi logo on the passenger side firewall it's built at the mitsu plant in normal illinois

ok so i bought a 96 avenger 4cyl that needs a lil TLC. its only got 103k original miles on it. from what I could tell the clutch hydraulic cylinder thats attached to the tranny side of the hydraulic system that acuates the the clutch itself is bad and leaking fluid slowly so i have to pump the clutch to get any sort of pressure on the system. Any idea on how much itd cost to replace this? the guy at autozone said itd be 35 or so for the part but how much is labor for somehting like this? also since this is the base model and not the ES its got manual everyhitng and I want to change that. any idea on where to buy the power aquators for both windows and locks? I cant seem to find them at any place where ive bought conversion parts in the past.

$35 for the part the installation is fairly easy the hardest part is bleeding it to get the airbubbles out ...
Power window/lock actuators are best bought at a junkyard you'll need to get the switches and the wiring harness ...
There are generic kits that sell at Autoloc and summit racing
