1997 dodge avenger 2.5 v-6 anti-theftMy son just bought this car and the ins. company was asking if
My son just bought this car and the ins. company was asking if it had a anti-theft device...it did not come with any remote ..for the locks however..the add for the car did say key-less entry...where would i look on the car to determine if it has anti-theft protection..ohhh no manual cam with the car either..thank you in advance for your help.

So that you can tell if it has the factory:
1 - Get in.
2 - Close the door.
3 - Lock the doors.
4 - Look for a green 'Security' light to come on in the dash.
5 - If it does, unlock the doors before the light goes out.
6 - Go grab a Mt Dew and enjoy the rest of your day ...it has a theft system

Thank you for the reply...I will try that as soon as he comes home from school....boy i hope it has the green light on the dash...i could really go for a MT Dew..right now..lol
