Grinding Noise-Maybe my shocks/struts
....i'm hearing a grinding noise everytime I turn my wheel in either direction when i'm backing out of a space, turning, and accelerating sometimes...the vehicle is a 2000 Dodge Avenger 2.5 liter...and it's got a good 108,000 miles on it...i'm thinking it's shocks and struts!
is it possible to do this job myself cause it doesn't look that cheap every place i've looked on the internet for parts and stuff?
With any possible suggestions and recommendations lend a helping hand please!!!!
Thanks-Aaron

turning the wheel you hear the noise..
sounds more like a wheel bearing or ball joint than struts/springs..
but with 100k miles or more you should be about ready to replace struts anyways.. yes it is a DIY job, there are plenty of write-up's on how to do it and with simple mechanical ability it doesnt take much.
if you want im selling some KYB AGX's with lowering springs

The one I bought for my son is doing it in the rearend. It's a strut problem. The cost to have someone do it for us here runs about $900. We found a guy a few counties over who will do it for $300. If you aren't mechanically inclined, or if you are and don't want to mess with it, call around and you'll find someone willing to do it a lot cheaper.
