Default Down pipe...or flex pipe size?

So ive had an exhaust leak for awhile now....so i pulled out 200 bucks (which i thought was alot) and went to Lentz to get it fixed.Anyways, they lift my venge up, and i have a hole in my exhaust
about as big as my thumbnail. Then the kid brings me to the down pipe, and has me put my hand up there to feel the pulsating air.

In theory they seemed like simple fixes....i told the guy sweet i have cash go ahead and fix it up for me.He said alright that hed get me a price for the pipe.He game back with a hefty price of 1,074 dollars.I said you cant be serious....i can fix that downpipe with a soup can, pull my car down.He said it was expensive because it was through the dealer.Im like whatever man, i can get
a piece of flexpipe from meijers, a industrial size floor jack and some jackstands that i need anyway for under 300 bucks.

So i then went to muffler man, still not being able to comprehend the price i was given.I tell muffler man the story about Lentz, and they say they cant do anything for under 500 bucks WTF!!

So im pretty irritated about the whole thing....i call my woman and tell her what happened. She couldnt believe those prices either. She has a really good friend thats a mechanic....she calls him
up and he calls the dealer and can get the exact same flexpipe/downpipe from the dealer for 150 dollars his cost and said hed hook me up....WTF!!!!Never again will i go anywhere for exhaust work....i cant believe both places tried to rape me like that.

If i can get away with going to meijers and getting a piece of flex pipe, jackstands, and a jack thats what i want to do.I just dont want to make two trips one to get the jack and stands, go home lift the car, find out the size of the pipe, pull the car down and drive back to get the pipe i need.Anyone know the dimensions? Thanks in advance, and sorry this is so long, i had to vent!
