Default Electrical Problems

I have a 1996 Avenger ES V6. Lately the battery has not been holding a charge. The battery is only about 6 months old so I don't think its bad. When I give the car a jump and start it, all the lights in the dash etc flicker. When I did the key self test it gave me a Code 12 which Mitchell says : Battery Feed to PCM has been interrupted within last 50-100 engine starts. Has anyone had this problem before? or can anyone offer any help as to where I should begin to try and fix this? Thanks

have you had the alternator checked ??? and or the battery tested ??? Take the car to autozone/advanced auto parts and have them check both for free

Code12 is likely the battery voltage being too low ...

Had the battery tested the other day. Came back as being fine. Gonna try to pull the alternator and have it tested today.

Ended up being a failed diode in the alternator.
