afterswap ac issues
Long story short, I swapped out the 2.0L DOHC out of my 1995 Avenger and put back in the 2.5L SOHC. Everything but the AC works properly. I think that the issue is the Automatic Compressor ECM (TN277100-0590 by Denso) which I think is the original unit. I cannot remember if I actually replaced it when I did all the work a couple of years ago. Does anyone know if this ECM is compatible with the scroll compressor that comes on the 2.5??
When I push the button to AC Max, it works for about 4-5 seconds and then the light goes to blinking and the air quits being cold. I know the compressor itself is good and I can keep the AC going by playing with the button, but that gets tiring when I am trying to drive for a couple of hours at a time. Any ideas, comments, or thoughts will be greatly appreciated...
