Default Limp Mode??? Please Help!!!!!

Hey guys,

I was driving for about 15 minutes in town today, and the car ran fine. (We had recent flooding so i was driving through a little standing water, nothing too serious though), anyway, after that Im going about 40 m.p.h. and the car wont shift out of 2nd gear.?? What the heck..so i park it, shut if off for about 30 mins, go and try it again, it shifts perfectly, like a charm...why was it in limp mode for a short time like that??? any ideas would be greatly appreciated...(its a 96 v6 venge)....is this something i should be worried about???

Could be water in the sensors or water in the TCM (from flooding)..
Or could be more troubles coming of a more serious nature ...

I bet the CPS was affected for that period of time. It is down there in water's reach.
Shutting it off reset the values that the CPS was sending (a bunch of errors) which caused the ECU to put you into limp mode.
