Default Remote Starter

i went to the local Best Buy and talked to the people in the Automotive shop and asked them what remote starter would be the best for my car. they said because it is a manual it would be difficult because they said there is a lot of things i would have to do... so im just wondering if they are throwing me a of crap or if it is a bad idea? i dont park it in gear so i dont really have to worry about that. im sure it will come with instructions on how to hook it up so that shouldnt be hard at all.

There are a TON of liability issues , putting a remote start on a manual car is a pain ... If you use the proper manual tranny module you have to preset it every time for it to work , car must be in neutral , then the parking brake fully set then you press a button , this "arms" the remote start and allows it to start the car when activated later ...

Years ago a customer came in the shop and DEMANDED I install a remote without the proper module in his new BMW... I informed him that legally I can't /won't do it ... A week later he brought in a document drawn up by his lawyer , It was a liability waiver for the install , I took it to my lawyer who added a few things , and eventually I installed it ...Two weeks after the install he was over at the local Midas muffler shop showing his buddies his new car, of course he had to show off the remote start , unfortunately it was in gear and the brake pulled slightly up , car started took off ran into the brick column between the garage doors knocked it in continued in hitting the lifts knocking two cars off the lifts , running those cars into the guys tool boxes before finally stopping
Two weeks after that he filled a law suit against me ... Judge took one look at the liability waiver and the additions my lawyer made and laughed at the guy and said "He warned you this could/would happen , and that a $100 additional module will prevent it , you demanded he install it without the module, buddy you made a bad decision that will now cost you upward of $50,000 all to save a hundred"

remote starter doesn't care if you have power window /locks

a block heater attaches to the block/or in the radiator line , all you do is plug it in overnight to 110 vac
