widder tires should work out fine. just not too bag. i would say stick with what you have on it right now, or else go with the 225 width ones

I have 4- 225/60/16's on my 96 Avenger and I will not put that size back on it again. I have one tire right rear that hits the fender lip if I have to much weight on that side (and its just that side) and the tires are really close to control arms and stuff. But I can say they sure fill the wheel well up. My next tires will be 215's.

Ravenger i dont htink ot is the fact that you have 225's as tires that they hit, that is the width of the tire, the the side wall hight would be the reason i would think. so instead of a 60 go with a shorter side wall like a 45, it should open up you wheel well gap.
