Default Brake warning light

Trying to get my e-check done but failed due to the red warning brake light on the dash, can anyone shed some light on what causes this to be on? i checked the e-brake its not on, im lost on what to do about this. please help thanks

It can be either the E brake switch , or can be low fluid level in the resevoir , it's a dual indicator for either

in the center console , by the brake lever ... pull the tray out from under the armrest to get a look at it ...

its way down hidden on the hinged end of the E-Brake lever.. its better to check it asap..if you need to buy new one there are many store who are having their clearance sale now. you might get a great discount there.

Default I had the same problem.....

Even though my fluid was alright in the brake fluid resiv for some reason the computer thought that it was low so I topped it off with a little more brake fluid to put it a little below the max line and viola.....my brake light isn't on all the time now.
