Default Dash speakers......

Okay so my set of dash speakers (the tweeters) blew and I got another set out of the junkyard. I did a battery test to see if they were in working condition and they were. Now these tweeters are the upgraded ones that have the cap on them for the bass blocker. I was just wondering if there was something that I have to adjust to get them to work because when I plug them in there is no sound coming through them. I don't want to remove the cap because that will make them more likely to blow. Greatly appreciate you help and awaiting it also.

I don't mean to highjack this thread but how do you test speakers at a junkyard? I can think of a bunch of times when i found nice speakers sitting around ,but didn't think it was worth looking at them.

There's really not a great way to test at the yard ... I take a drill driver and use the battery to attach to the speaker you should hear an audible click/pop when you connect (9volt battery works in a pinch)... It checks for voice coil and spider continuity ... Inspect the speaker surround for cracking ect

Default Yes that is what I did.....

my fader and balance are on a ****. I still have the stock infinity head unit and its set so that it will play through all speakers so I just don't get why they wont work. Oh yea....Know anyplace to get a good tranny for under 1500. My front seal or pump is out.
