Wink CEL and other fun.

Got the CEL Flashing for the first time after 2 years in my hands.
I am pretty sure it's an oxy sensor. (I dont have a chance to take it in
for a read because the chrysler dealership here in iceland went downunder )
I am gonna switch them out one by one and see if i can find a bad one
or if it's the oxy sensors at all. (got all 4 in the sebring in good working condition)

Finally rented myself a garage so over the next months i will be putting some work in.
Im not new to cars so i know wich end to hold on a screwdriver.
I got 123k miles on the avenger but there's only 80k on the sebring.
What im mostly thinking about is compatibility on everything between the
Sebring 97 and Avenger 98. I know mostly all parts are the same but what
about the ecu and tranny modules ?

Since you can do the keydance on the 95-97 models but not on the later ones.
if i switch the Brains would i be able to do the key dance ?

Any tips, information and Discussion is well appreciated. I am here to stay.
I've read these forums for some time but not posted much cause i haven't needed.
Bad-venge, Silvercoupe and more, i do like the info and help you guys are putting in
and i hope to be able to contribute myself.

Flashing CEL is normally a Misfire ... Plugs/wires rotor/cap or distributor ..

The cel was both staying on and sometimes flashing. The previous owner changed out spark plugs and threads. After a small trip to the garage i now know i have to take off the intake manifold and check all the spark plugs because he didn't tighten them enough.

Im first going to find my haynes manual and then i will switch out the ECU to see if i can do the key dance. Just gonna try it out and then ill let you know if it works .

The engine is running smooth tho and i've had no problems with it last 2 years.

Ofcourse it was only the 95-96 that had the keydance. well i think i've found a workshop here in reykjavík that can read it off for me.

Finished checking out all the spark plugs. All were looking good and wires are good

Well im already started on tearing down the chrysler tho piece by piece.
Found out that they don't have the same plugs on the Oxy sensors. (Chrysler has a square plug and the dodge has a round one) Would have to splice wires to use them.

Got it scanned and reset. It was a misfire. the light hasn't come back but after i checked the spark plugs i know i will have to change the rubber tubes in the valve cover.
It's leaking oil. It's in order and i will get it the next monday. Also im going to flush out the tranny and change out the filter and fluid.

(I remember the CEL came on after a too rainy day and i got a little bit of water in on the engine, the only downside of having a Cold air intake mounted too low)
