Question Oil Pressure

here i am again. well I might as well spill everything wrong with my 00 avenger. well, I'm curious if its normal for the oil pressure to fluctuate. When I'm driving, it goes all the way up slightly passing the little oil can on the gauge. When at a stop, it goes down just under the second line to the bottom (when ac is on it goes down a littler further). I wanted to know if this is normal or is something going out. thanks

It's normal for fluctuation , think about it the oil pump goes faster with the higher revs the higher revs will raise the pressure at idle the revs are the lowest and less pressure ...

ya Thats Normal. My 2000 venger usally sits below the low mark at like 3:30-4o'clock position unless i'm going faster than 60, then it goes above the mark a little. The oil level is good every week I check. The motor runs like a champ and mine has been doing that for the 60,000 miles I've had it.

thanks you guys, just curious cause I never owned a car that had a oil pressure gauge. I once owned the successor (2005 dodge stratus coupe 2.4L) unforuntaly it met its demise to a red light runner

if you are worried, hook up an analog gauge. rule of thumb is 10psi of op per 1k rpm
