it's a 96 m/t 2.0, i can let the car idle 15-20mins nothing happens. if i try to drive it will die 2mins down the road. give it a few mins and it will crank up, and die again a few mins later. this is with or with out the ac running. the car is mostly stock, and it does not over heat, new water pump, head gasket, and thermostat. it has a after market muffler on it, dont know what kind came on the car when i got it. ****y one i do know that. any help would be great thanks

 

Is the CEL light coming on? Do you hear the fuel pump hum, when the key is turned to the ON position? Sounds like the crank sensor...

 

two days after i posted this , one of my friends brother in laws told me to change out the crank sensor. so problem soveled. i got one from a salvage yard they had 13 of them so i picked them all up lol. ill post them on ebay for anyone that wants them.....thanks canda

 

For what its worth, I replaced mine and that did not fix the stalling issue.
