Well its my first problem with my car. Hopefully last one to. Recently i went to Canadian tire for my first oil change ( BIG MISTAKE TAKING IT TO THEM!). Before the oil change i was Very low on oil, however the oil pressure Gauge would always remain in the normal bottom range on the pressure Gauge. Right after the oil change i noticed my pressure gauge moving around a lot, then the other day i was driving out of town n the gauge reached Max after going on the highway for about 20 minutes. This caused the check engine light to come on. When i got home i took it to a mechanic. He checked the oil first and noticed that The Folks who did my oil change Over filled it by 1L of oil. The mechanic suspected this was the problem so he drained it to the proper amount. He told me drive it for a few days n see if that fixed the problem. If not come back and will see what else the problem could be.

Anyone else know what the problem could be?
Just FYI i never ever had this problem before i got the oil change.

 

is it still running high ??? overfilling , and the wrong viscosity can cause this ..

 

Yep i been keeping my eye on it as i drive and it still shoots rite up pretty quickly. what would you recommend me doing about it? New oil change with different oil? Srry if the questions r dumb, im not very good when it comes to cars besides car audio.

 

If you've rechecked the level ... and it's still too high I'd go back to crappy tire and see what they will do ..
