I've looked high and low and for the life of me cannot find out where to put transmission fluid. I know I am low on fluid but don't know where to fill it at. I'm not so sure about all Avengers so it's a FWD manual transmission. Can anyone tell me where to fill at?

 

Manual does NOT have fluid it uses gear oil

 

I know this already. like I said, I know what fluid to use. fluid is any type of liquid. ATF 4.

but I still have no idea where to add the fluid (oil)

 

ATF4 (AUTOMATIC Transmission Fluid 4) does not go in a manual. Like Bad Venge said it uses gear oil. Dealer calls for Mopar MS 9417, but there is probably a comparable replacement.

That being said, the filler plug is located on the left side of the transaxle differential area on a manual, and through the dipstick on an automantic.

 

when I raced Neon's I use Redline MTL gear lube

mopar part numbers are 4773167 or MS9417 GM part number is 12345349

realize this transmission is a New Venture trans which was a joint effort between GM and Chrysler in the early 90's. the internals are identical to the 282 GM manual trans.
capacity is 2qts, fill hole is located just above the driver side axle shaft
