I have a 1999 dodge avenger sport

2.5L

auto transmission

118,xxx miles

Ok so here is the problem, my avenger power locks do not work at all. i hit the buttons and here a quiet click under the dash somewhere. but no attempt to move. I tried using my fob to see if there is a problem with the door switch but it dosent work either. SO unknown if the fob even works ?

2nd Problem. The speakers Only the drivers side 3.5inch dash speaker works. if i move the fader or balance the passenger side 3.5 speaker works but faintly. I thought maybe the radio might be bad, But its not. Aftermarket radio dose the same. So i put my stock cd/cassette player back.

I also tried all new door speakers and rear speakers. yet again. Skrewed

 

swap drivers speaker to passenger , if it works tweeters bad ... get new replacemnts from ebay bose 301/601/901 tweeters around $20 a pair shipped
no difference could be an infinity amp failure

check door locks for 12 volts when lock button pressed no 12 volts check lock fuses/relay /wiring 12 volts bad lock solenoid

 

Ok but if it was a bad tweeter would that stop all the speakers but the drivers side tweeter

 

Sorry I read that as the other speakers work except the passenger tweeter ...
Do you have the infinity system ??? Amp located under the rear deck between the 6X9's ???

 

no there is no amp. i cannot figure it out. i dont know how to get the speakers working. And as for the power locks i cant figure that out either. it has power. all i hear is clicking under the dash

 

Maybe there is a relay under the dash that is bad. That is about all that would "click" when you hit the locks.

 

Are you POSITIVE no factory amp ??? Look in the location I stated ...

Could be a relay but I'd check VOLTAGE to the doors first then track back from there
