hi everyone,

i got an dodge avenger 96 420a engine and i'm trying to put mitsubishi engine
into my car and the engine is a 4G63 w/t it a 2.0l 16valve DOCH

an it the same that i got but to compare the engine. is that everything is on the oppsite side .
like my transmission is on the leftside but know its gonna be on the rightside.

if it a good idea to put that engine in to replace mind.

 

the 4g63 will not fit unless you have the trans, wireing harness, and comp. if you are gonna do all that do the gst swap
( ill buy your 420a if you want to sell it, and its good)

 

It'll fit and I think you mean the GSX swap

Oh yeah, it's a good idea if you have the time and tools to do this work. The 4G63 swap is far from impossible and far from easy and well worth the time to do it IMO.

 

the gst is is front wheel drive turbo and the gsx is all wheel drive turbo

 

the 4g63 will not bolt up to the 420a trans

 

Is that what he's saying? I thought he was going to do a motor swap []

 

has any one every converted a 2.0 avenger to a 2.5 avenger what is needed

 

just the motor trans ecu wiring motor mounts axles etc shaft all that good stuff and all 2.5s are auto so if urs is manual all the trann crap auto shifter peddles .might as well grab a man tranny off the new eclipse n make it work.. im doing a 3.5 swap n mine right now .. got all the parts oh if anyone wants a diamante 99 auto tranny n excellent condition message me
