In need of hood & front bumper
Hi everyone......
My husband had an accident in my 96 Avenger ES on Friday and I need to find a hood & front bumper. I'm on a TIGHT budget because the windshield is getting replaced tomorrow (and of course this just had to happen when rent is due!). I've called all the junkyards here in Norwalk Oh and surrounding cities....even a few in Cleveland with no luck so far. I'm trying to find them in silver (or another light so maybe she won't look to horrible) so it kinda matches until I can get a paint job this summer. If anyone know of a website to search junkyards or has one than will work please let me know. Also will a hood/bumper from a 96 Sebring work? I know many of the parts are interchangeable between the Avengers and Sebrings (just not sure how far that goes).

Sorry about the accident ...
Yes the sebring bumper is swapable and the hoods identical. Most of the sebring bumpers get a droop that eventually ends to it being ripped off by a parking block.
You need a 95/96 bumper for a direct swap.either venge or bring The 97+ have different shaped headlights and turn signals.
I use car-parts.com it searches area wide junkyards.
I have my stock hood removed in 98 , been stored ever since , unfortunately it's Paprika with graphics, I'd let it go for $150 I'm in Akron

I'll check out that site and see what can be found. Could you send me a pic of your stock hood? If the hoods are swapable between model years, what do I have to lose? Well besides sweet talking my husband into a hood/bumper and Dad for a paint job for my birthday.....

Well, if only I'd made my return to this forum a ways back. Junkyard down here had one. I don't think they do anymore. They told my friend and I (my friend has a '98 Avenger) that anything prior to the year 2000 that wasn't a rarity was getting crushed and scrapped.
That really honks me off, too. We do kinda need parts for his car, and now I'm going to have to go looking to find them.
