Default 99 Avenger - No Map lights/courtesy lights PLEASE HELP!!!

Hey everyone. Great site, often any questions I have are usually already answered but I've been stumbling with the following 3 issues since I bought the car and REALLY want to get them resolved because I love the car and hate things not working as they should.

So essentially I'm facing 3 issues here and they are all pretty much in common:
I did find that the door sensor pins had corroded. I replaced these with a couple from a spare avenger. Didn't fix the issues any. I've also tried physically connecting the wires at the sensor pins to see if it was just another pair of bad pins; again no fix. Is this valid?!

1) No Map lights.
- These stopped working about 1-2 months after buying the car. The door sensor pins were still good at this time, the courtesy lights still worked.
- I've checked the fuses and the light bulbs (all check out)
- There's no power in the wires (tested), so the map lights assembly is good.
- Yes, i've tried the switch on the map lights assembly

2) No courtesy lights; this happened about 6 months after getting the car.
- cigarette lighter light, ash tray light, left, right and rear floor lights don't work.
- Door chime (lights left on, keys left in ignition) no longer comes on.

3) The light around the ignition switch appears to have been removed. I found one at the U-pick from a 95-96 that fits but I have no loose wires on my car to connect it to (I was under the impression it was previously cut out).

Does this seem familiar to anyone? Any suggestions?? Does anyone know where I can find a wiring diagram??

Thanks

Hugh

1) The map light are feed up the drivers side A pillar trace the wire might have been damaged or fuse blown

2) This sounds like a classic door switch trouble , the switches ground and if there is rust ect under them ir the screw isn't tight they won't work. Also note the Drivers and passengers are different be sure to replace them correctly. I bought a set from Mitsu under $20

3) the 97+ don't have keylights . Would be easy to tap the wire on the courtesy lights

Thanks for the quick reply bad venge and a big thanks for the link, that's great!

So here's how it went down:

1) Map lights: Ran out of time yesterday to check this but will do it once we return home.

2) Door pins were defective AND the ground was shot. Grabbed a couple sets of door pins from a U-pick for a buck that look brand new and work 100%. Grabbed a test light as well. You were dead on, there's power but the ground is shot on both sides. Cleaned the rust from the area and ran a new ground, the door lights are golden again. I found that the same (bad ground) was true for the other lights (cigarette light, ash tray light, etc). If I can't find where the original ground wires run to I'll just run some new ones instead.

3) I'm amazed the 97+'s didn't have key lights. They just had the rubber O-ring? I hooked the one I found at the U-pick up to the lights as well so now there's a key light.

I had to run out to the car a half dozen times last night to marvel at the door lights finally coming on again
