I've owned my 1998 Dodge Avenger ES for about 5 years now and I love it! Unfortunately, it sat for a year while I left the state and wasn't taken care of like I was promised it would be. Among the problems was a hole in the exhaust. After a trip to a mechanic, I was told I needed to replace the crossover pipe and that it would cost around $500! So, I was 'simply' wondering exactly what the crossover pipe was and/or if there was a place I could get one or order one for less than $500...or maybe there is an easier/cheaper fix? I have yet to check any salvage yards, but it's on my list. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!
