Hi!

P0134 refers to Bank 1 Sensor 1.

badvenge, I found this picture for the 2.5 liter engine, and it does say that cylinder 1 is closest to the firewall?

So I guess Bank 1 Sensor 1 is the one behind the upper plenum??

Thanks in advance!

I gave you the bank info according to the manual ... I don't know what else I can do for you .... I'd suggest taking it to a competent mechanic or dealer or replace all 4 sensors

Hi again!

Yes I know, I'm very thankful for that.

But what does your manual say about error code P0134 = Bank 1 Sensor 1? Could you scan a page in the manual and post the picture here or tell me the exact info that your manual describes? Or where the sensor (Bank 1 Sensor 1) is located?

Because the Chrysler Cirrus has the exact same engine and the Dodge Avenger 2.5 also has the same cylinder 1 position, I guess P0134 means the sensor located rear of the plenum? (close to the firewall)?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards

Excuse me but you do realize that just because 2 different vehicles have the same engine does not mean that everything is the same on those two vehicles.

For example I own a 1991 Mazda RX-7. My brother in law owns a 1986 Mazda RX-7. Both engines are 6 port engines. My engine uses the airpump back pressure to activate the 5th and 6th ports. His does not. Both are 1.3L Rotary engines.

Badvenge has told you exactly which sensors are what earlier and he DOES have the right manual and has been working on Avengers longer than most so I would just follow the info that he told you earlier or have a mechanic work on it like he stated...

Hi again!

Okey, maybe cylinder 1 is different on the Avenger compared to the Cirrus, but how likely is that? Have you ever popped the hood on a Cirrus? They look the SAME!

I guess I follow badvenge's manual and replace the sensor in front of the car (Bank 1 Sensor 1 is right in front of you when you open the hood or lie down on the ground I guess?).

Thanks in advance.
