I don't know anything about cars, parts, and/or locations of things under the hood. Can anyone explain to me: Where the "ignition coil" is located? It's for a friend of mine.. Looking for the "how-to" on replacing it. All information is useful. Links/Pictures/Replacements & Costs.

The "ignition coil" is built into the Distributor.
It's located on the drivers side of the motor , underneath the distributor cap (where all the plug wires terminate) You'l need to remove the cap (two screws) and the Rotor underneath. Two 10mm bolts hold in the Distributor.
Pull it out and observe where the key is you'll have to reinstall the new disrtributer the same way
Reassemble in reverse
