JDM Headlight question
Hey everybody! I have a question. Ok, First, I am female so I'm sorry about my lack of knowledge in the car world. (I promise I'm learning though). Anyways: I have been learning a little bit about JDM Headlights. They are like the euro lights kind of. Here is my thing: I have to get new headlight casings because mine are disguisting. Foggy, gross, and you can hardly see that my headlights are on at night. So I have been thinking about getting the JDM headlights instead of the regular stock ones. First of all, do you guys know anything about those?? good, no good? Secondly, i read something about a JDM headlight conversion kit?? What is this? Does anyone know round-about pricing for it? I hope you can help me out. Thanks!! [sm=thanx.gif]
Well, I don't really know. I don't know anything about them. I just read something about a conversion kit. So they are different bulbs, the whole ten yards?? Just let me know what all is involved with them, because I have no clue. I am trying to figure out if they are worth the time and effort and what is all involved with them (work, money, etc.). Thanks for your help!
Sounds like a 100w conversion with a new wiring harness. Problem is sometimes those bulbs run so hot they crack or melt the plastic lenses. Alot of people get away with 80w and a rewire. I don't really know much about all that fluffy stuff, just from what my customers come in with and I see.
Look into a HID kit from someone like Catz, you're looking at about 500-700 depending on if you go with just lowbeams or the L/H kit. Simple install it seems and you only have to find a location for the small controller boxes.

How about washing them, then taking some 1500 grit sand paper to them, rinse them, take some 2000 grit to them, rinse them, and take some time polishing and waxing them, they will look like new, then go get some white standard wattage bulbs
