I am new posting here but not new looking at the helping information on the site.

Anwyays,
I have a 1999 Dodge Avenger ES 2 Door Coupe with the 2.0L I4 DOHC, recently my oil pump went out and I realized it to late and I threw a rod. So since I love my little beast I am wondering what other engine I can put into it besides another 2.0 from a Mitsu or another Avenger. I know they make a V6 for the Avenger but will it fit in the I4 body and will it bolt to it? If not what kind of engine could I get that will haul a little more *** and suck a little more gas than the 2.0L. I would love to have more horsepower in it. If ANYBODY can help me out here I would GREATLY appreciate it.

the 4cyl uses a different tranny then the V6 so you'd need both the tranny and motor as well as the tranny/motor mounts and the computers and wiring harness it would be a really hard swap
