Unhappy 1999 Dodge Avenger ES-V6 issues help plz

Ok a few weeks ago took to garage and had fuel filter replaced thinking this may solve the jerking and almost stalling issue, not the case. Here's what it does sitting at an idle at stop light,0-35, and 50-65 wants to stall out but doesn't. 40-50 runs fine and anything over 65 runs fine or just don't notice it as much. What could this be?
Here are a few thoughts:
1.) Spark plug fouling out, causing blow-by
2.) Bad spark plug(s) Spark plug arcing, lose plug cap
or bad wire(s) "all replaced about a yr ago"
3.) Distributor/rotor replaced about 6months ago
4.) EGR needs to be replaced /IAC replaced?
5.) fuel filter replaced and or fuel pump and filter on fuel pump needs replacing
6.) Air filter or hose to air filter may have
squirrel/chipmunk nest in it
7) Vacuum hose loose or cracked
8) Coil
Took to a garage and getting a P0301 diagnostic code cylinder 1 misfire detected. Spark plug bad? or coil bad?

the 40/50 running fine and 65 above is a confusing issue ...
Any possible causes I can think off should be present at all speeds...

I'd check the plugs to see if there is oil in the plug wells causing it to ground out
Bad EGR can cause unmetered air

The IAC will not come into play at speed

Kim, Is check engine light on? Ask mechanic to give you the diagnostic printout from the OBD readings. This should show up in the trouble codes........

Curious as to why you cannot work on your own vehicle at your residence?

Good Luck,
George

Default Same thing happened to me

My 98 Venge would completely stall out when I came to a stop. I replaced all kinds of stuff. The 2nd component I replaced was the EGR. Then I moved on to various (expensive) sensors. Turns out, the new EGR I got from Advanced was bad out of the box. Turn off the car, let it cool so the EGR closes, pull the vacuum for the EGR and plug it. Drive around the block. If the car runs fine, replace the EGR.

Cylinder 1 misfire could be bad cap/rotor or distributor ...
bad wire bad plug or oil in plug well grounding out ...
Even a bad injector can cause it

Default Update number 3

Ok crossing fingers changed spark plugs "NSK platinum" and wires, also changed EGR, not making those noises or stalling issues. However mechanic ran his diagnostics machine on it and came up with P0301...which we know is the misfire of cylinder one, then an error code of P0113 which is Intake Air Temperature Sensor, my question is this where the heck is it located on my 1999 Dodge Avenger ES-V6? ( no oil on plugs however one of the plugs looked pink under the gap where the white part is supposed to be.

not sure my manuals not with me , I'd guess it's part of the IAC , bottom of throttle body

Air Temperature Sensor is located in the upper left intake plenum. It's easy to get to. I checked the location in the service manual, then verified on my 97 2.5.

Default Air Intake Temperature Sensor Location

Is that when your facing the intake plenum it would be your left or the left of the plenum the car such as the drivers side?
