The sleeve on the cable under the console has broken, therefore needs replaced. I have the console out and my question is this. On the other end of the cable, at the transmission, how difficult is it to get to the connection. My understanding is that the battery and tray will need to be reomoved. Once that is done, will the work be done from above or will I need to be under the car. Asking prior to much more disassembly in case I need to get it into a garage to get it off the ground. Any help would be appreciated, is the last thing I need to put it back on the road. Thanks

 

I think it's easy to reach from top after battery/ tray removal. (been 8/10 years since I did one)
