Hello Everyone, I am preparing to replace the spark plugs on my 1997 Avenger ES 2.5 V/6. I noted that 3 brands of plugs are mentioned in the owners manual as acceptable choices.

My question is: Which plugs are the best choice for this engine? Longest lasting, as well as good mpg and performance?

I bought this car new. It has 91,000 miles on the original plugs. I am getting misfire codes. Multiple, as well as misfire on cylinder number 2 and 4 pending code. Also, the last O2 sensor downstream is showing bad according to the scan tool.

I've been running the Denso Iridium plugs , While you are there Replace the wires
Also inspect the plugs for oil , if you find oil replace the valve cover gasket and Plug well seals. Also replace the cap and rotor
