Default Routine Maitenace

I was thinking about this the other day and I want to know if it is just my car or avenger/sebring cars in general. I purchased my car less than a year ago and it seems I need a ton of things involving routine maitenance. I have replaced both rear hub/bearing assemblies. I also had a leaky rack and pinion (stop leak has fixed that for now) and I need front brakes and rotors, front hub/bearing assemblies (both), tune up and that’s not the end of the list. I have 110k on the odometer and I want to start doing a couple performance mods but i need to get the car running right etc before i can start. Any input is always appreciated, thanks in advance.

Default RE: Routine Maitenace

I've had my '98 for almost 4 years now ( jus broke 81k) and haven't had many problems but... the rotors on the front are too small for the car, hence they warp frequently. Also, don't go over 100 flbs on torquing the lugs down, this will help with their longevity. I have PowerStop crossdrilled on mine with ceramic brakes, don't let anyone tell ya that ya can't do this combo either. ceramic brake pads will be the last pads ya ever buy, but they're spendy. they're about $90 a set, but well worth the money.
I change the oil every 2700-2900 miles and use a Fram Double Guard filter (DG9)... you can get them at Walmart. I recommend these filters and castrol High Mileage oil. Add a pint of Marvel Mystery oil to every oil change and add a quart of MM oil once a month to the gas tank when you fill up.
Be VERY careful with your door handles when opening them from the outside. They break sometimes if you don't be careful and they are a royal bitch to replace. I know someone who is selling aluminum handles for our venges (because Dodge decided to make them bambi plastic and they break often).
How do your headlights look? Are they all clouded up? If so hit me up and I'll tell ya how to fix that problem easily and cheaply.
For a ton of info on these cars check out this other club called ASEC (www.aseclub.net). It's all for Avengers and Sebrings and has a wealth of info and everybody's pretty cool. I'm m2m on there too.
Hit me up if ya need to ask any questions or need help.
