I had a srs light that stayed on all of the time. I read on the DSM forum that you could replace the srs ecu and the light might go out if you don't have any faults. I bought a srs ecu on ebay. I disconnected the battery for 15 - 20 minutes to clear out the system. I replaced the old ecu and the light went out. If you try this do not hook up the new srs ecu with the battery connected. They also recommend that when you restart the car after everything is hooked up, don't sit in front of the airbags just in case they deploy by accident.
