Hi all,

I have a 1997 Avenger ES 2.5 with an automatic transmission. For a while now whenever I would be coming to a rolling stop and then accelerated I would hear a loud thump in the floor and the feeling like something was banging for a second. Now all of a sudden when I just start off slowly I will hear the thump but not as loud but it now happens whenever I accelerate. Could this be a transmission mount? I replaced the drivers side engine mount over the weekend as that was trashed. If it is the transmission mount how difficult is it to change.

It's possible , I'd check the front suspension the straight arms bushings go bad and causes a thumping in the floor board
