Default possibly buying 95 avenger but wanting some opinions first!!

I'm looking at a 95 Avenger ES 6cyl automatic for sale that the guys says is in excellent shape and mechanically great with no problems and has been well maintained!! He says it just needs the transmission pump seal replaced and it is good to go!! What are the chances that this is all that is needed?? Do y'all think I will change this and there will still be a leak and would have to replace something else?? How hard and how expensive is it to replace the tranny pump seal?? Would I be better off to to replace other things as well while already replacing pump seal just to keep from putting back together and finding out still leaking and need to take apart again to replace something else?? What would y'all recommend replacing so I wouldn't be taking the chance of having to take apart more than once?? Thanks for any input y'all can give me I really want the car but need some advice and opionions first I guess!!

I would take it to an independent mechanic and have it inspected. People will tell you anything to make a sale.
