Default gas mileage

Hello everyone. I was just wondering about what is everyone's gas mileage for the v6 avenger. I get approx 20-21 mpg in town and from 26-30 on interstate. Should I be getting any better? I have a K&N air filter and a tornado air device. They didn't really help much I don't think. The oil is changed when needed and filters are all clean that i know of.

Hello, I have the same exact engine and car. How many mile on the engine?
After about 60,000 it will need spark plugs (all 6 because most will need to be changed). I do get about the same as you do, however, hard driving, e.i. hard accel., will kill the gas milage (as much as 3 mpg). You should get about 200-250 mile to a fill up.
Make sure that you baby the throttle while pull out especially. Also, I run full synthetic oil (Mobil 1). Also, make sure that the oil is up when driving 55+ (should be at 1/2 way). If not, on your next oil change buy a 5$ filter instead of a $3 filter. It will pay off in the long run.

Try the fuel injector/ top end cleaner from STP. I think it is in a Black or Gold bottle. Cost about $6-$7. Add only when you have a full tank of gas (READ BACK OF THE BOTTLE). Plugs, wire, rotor..would be next.
