Hey all,

Is it possible to put a keyless trunk opener for the Dodge Avenger?
I find it strange that the car does not have a button on the keyless remote to open the trunk.

 

Any suggestions?

Do I have to go to a Dodge dealership to have them install it?

 

No, you can have it done at Circuit City, Best Buy, local car audio shop........
You chose, nothing about aftermarket products = dealerships.

 

is the unit it self expensive, +best buy and all those people charge u for install, is it possible to do it yourself

 

It depends on the brand name and where you buy it from really, but for the most part it's not that expensive...IMO. If you follow the instructions, it may seem difficult at the time until you're done, then it hits you....that was easy, lol.

 

it can be done yourself buy a decent quality unit ie directed or spal you can find em on ebay for like $20
make sure u use a relay
