i have a 96 avenger es v6 it has 149 plus miles on it and it keeps turning off when i stop at a light but it turns right back on with no problems. i replaced the o2 sensors, fuel filter, codes read nothing. i know this problem is common with these models. does anyone have any advise before i put the old girl to sleep.

Welcome to DF Narco.
This question sounds familiar...?
Clean your throttle body and throttle area altogether and perhaps replace your ASD relay (found on the firewall and in a pack of 3 or 4 relays...can't miss it). Also get a manual if you don't already have one to help troubleshoot, it's the next best thing IMO. Try those first...ASD most likely, but every car is different. Hope that helps.

Ok, why did I call you Narco? The title must have stuck in my head, lol. Thanks Doa96.

There is a long list of things that cause our cars to stall out, not start, die, etc. The ASD and throttle area is just a common thing to do first and not so pricey either...not saying that it is a fix all, but it might help narrow it down. Make sure your vacuum lines are connected and that you don't have a vacuum leak either. Check the hoses and make sure they aren't dried up and cracked.

Isn't that the truth, lol.
If there's anything I can do to help, just ask and I'll try and help or find the answer for you if I don't know it
