1997 avenger es CEL code
- P0134 (right rear)upstream o2 stays at center.
It's time for, the hardest to get, o2 sensor to be replaced..it's bad
It's the o2 closest to the intake manifold. You can try and remove it without lifting the plenum, but chances are you will have to remove it. not to worry though, because it's gasket is metal and that means it's reusable
.
Another way to pull codes is to turn the ignition key on three times (never starting the car though) and on the third time leave it on the "ON" position. Next watch your Check Engine Light because it will blink 1-9 times once, then 1-9 time again...that's your first double digit set and it will repeat it if you have more codes. At the end you will get 5 - 5 or 55 that means it's done.
Not to get on you or anything but a Hayne's or Chilton's manual is really recommended before you do anything to your car.
