Is it ok to clean my engine, if so what can i use

 

is it the outside or the inside? for the outside i use this like, clean brite or something...but you have to beware of electrical connections and read the entire back of the bottle...

 

It's fine, just cover the electrical stuff up with a baggie and use a degreaser, let it sit as per brand recommendation, then wash it down. Let the car sit for a couple of hours before turning it on...water can blow a fuse or screw up something simple.
Wipe down with an engine detailer and you're done.
