Thats pretty simple.........its like John said though..patience is a virtue with Bondo 
Im getting my avenger ready for paint next weekend and I stripped all the door guards and emblems...etc etc etc.
When tackling holes on vehicles, there is no need to tape from the backside or anything.....the trick is to MAKE A LEVEL INDENTATION (I spell that right? OVER THE HOLE...essentially what youre doing is making a small valley with the hole in the middle.....rough it up with 60 grit--preferably down to the metal, but not excessively to avoid rust.....and bondo away.
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL THE TOOLS...I.E. A SANDBAR,SANDPAPER IN MULTIPLE GRITS, A BONDO PUTTY APPLICATION TOOL ETC. I will try to find a good link to something that will help you out....the only links I have are for my stereo stuff .
