I have been troubleshooting a problem where regardless of what gear I move the shifter to the car will not move. The car starts fine, which I assume means that the transmission is in park, and is otherwise operational. If I move the shifter to the reverse position I can feel the rpm's drop but the car still refuses to move. I've been pointed to the shifter cable by the neighborhood car guy but am unsure where this is. Does this sound like a shifter cable problem to you? If so can you give me an idea of where to find it?
