Where are these relays exactly...I'm really confused now about the whole relay situation. Are these relays wires? are they these black box things? where are they?

 

The relays should be right next to the brake resevoir. They are actual relays bud. They can be replaced with 12v Radio Shack relays.

 

You wont believe this! ALL I did was take out the relays and I cleaned them with a napkin!!!!!!!!! THey were covered in black sluge! NOW MY TRANMISSION WORKS PERFECTLY!!! LIKE IT NEVER HAPPNEDD!!!! WOW THANKYOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ITs actually been 2 and a half months now since my tranmission has worked!! THANKYOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

That sludge was probably really, really dirty dielectric grease. It should have been somewhat clear. I would spray contact cleaner on the part where the relays snap onto to clean the contacts down there too (with the neg terminal of the battery removed). You can get a can of electrical contact cleaner at walmart or an auto parts store.
