Just recently whenever I apply the brakes on my '95 Avenger ES, my parking brake light on my console turns on. When I stop pressing the brake, it goes away. Sometimes it does it sometimes it won't...any suggestions?

Have you checked your brake fluid resevoir lately?

 

Was your car preowned? If so I know people to mix wires around to stop 1 thing from happening and force another to come on. "Jimmy rigged" I would check fluid first since its easiest then check your fuses.

 

i will check the brake fluid tomorrow. It is a pre-owned car but I have had the car for about 2 years now and this just started happening recently. I will post an update when check my fluids. Thanks for your help!

 

Do you use your e-brake? If so, you may also want to check your e-brake pads or it may just need adjusting.

 

my car started donig that about 1 mnth ago and i never thougt anything of it and it went away .... may not be the same as your car but tahts wut i experieieieeneced
