My friend has a 2000 Avenger (I hope this is the right forum) and his check engine light keeps coming on internitantly, I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to pull codes to try and determine what the cause is. Because it only comes on whenever it feels like it the dealership is telling him they can't get it to act up and thus can't fix the problem, any help would be greatly appreciated.

What is the code the dealership gets?????? They will tell you.
