Default Belt problem?

This morning it was unusually cold here; around 45-50 degrees. When I started my Avg it started squealing, I'm guessing belt; it stopped in maybe a minute or two. So I headed to work. Got the stop sign about a mile away and it starts squealing again and the battery light comes on. I turned the fog lights off and the light went out in a few minutes. I didn't have the stereo up to load, but it still pulls quite a bit of power. Not sure if it was pulling to much power for the alternator, if the belt is going bad, or if it was just the weather.

Was down to 42 this morning and it did it again. Think I should replace the belt or get it replaced? How hard is the belt to R^2?

It could just be weather related, but I would definitely check your belts when you get a chance and make sure that they are on there tight as per book. Has it done it again?

Just those 2 times so far but it's seems to be weather related. Just worried about the upcoming winter.

I will check the belts this afternoon.
