Default Hello everyone. New guy here.

Hi everyone> Im happy to find a forum devoted to such sweet cars. I have wanted one of these cars for over a decade and i finally have one to get to rigging.I have a 96 ES with 2.5 and i was wondering a few things.
Im having a few emissions issues and i live in a state thats kinda tight on that.
The codes i have are
P0134 ctk no activity (bank 1 sensor 1)
p0171 Stsyem too lean (bank 1 sensor 1)
P0158 Circuit High Volts (bank 2 sensor 2)
Both of the sensors are brand new and i have replaced the pre cat sensor twice.
Any clues ?
Thanks a mil for any advice !!

Oh yea and i have also had the ecm reset just to rule out the simple

Have you replaced the Cat? It's probably old and clogged.
Were you getting the same issue and codes with the old ones?
One more, are the sensors Bosch like the stock ones or did you get universals?

...and welcome to DF bud, both of you

No havent replaced the cat yet to see if thats the problem.I have had the problem with the front o2 sendor since i got the car.The latter 2 codes sprang up after had the rotor button, cap, and crankshaft sensor replaced. The mechanic told me it was problaly the 2nd o2 sensor tricking the computer. Both sensors are Bosch brand (no universal).Im just still not sure whereto get started on this issue.
Thanks for the reply and the warm welcome.

Do you have a RAM intake? Has your gas milage suffered or dwindled down, that you have noticed? What is your gas milage? I used to get 360 miles per fill up on my 2.5 and that's with a RAM intake. RAM aren't all that great btw, they do sound better but they suck up all the hot air under the hood.

I have noticed a decrease in gas milage. No ram intake(couldnt find one to fit car). Over the weekend i went to finish the tune up. I removed the upper intake plenum bolts and all was smooth until i hit the two bolts holding in the egr tube. Both were stripped and one was backed out about 1/8th in. Unable to find a machine shop open i decided to retap the holes using helicoils.I had broken one of the bolts during removal and spent most of my free time drilling it out. Its back on and car runs pretty smoothly. Im hoping this fixes the prob with the lean mixture. Will prob get ecm rescanned tomorrow or tuesday.
