Hey Yo Slhomer
I think you have "auto shifter" and "autostick" mixed up. You have an "auto shifter", an "autostick" is a shifter similar to the tiptronic. I think this is a result of incorrect definitions.

You have a plain old autoshifter and you DON'T have a 6 speed. You have 4 forward gears and an overdrive and 1 reverse gear.

The newer Chrysler Autostick is an altogether different design; instead of being an electrically clutching manual, it is "Manual Override Automatic", which is an automatic in which the gear is user-selectable in the same manner as the more common Tiptronic design. The shifter is moved down from "Park" to to a notch below "Drive", and from there is can be nudged left and right to select which gear the automatic gearbox is in. The transmisson will shift automatically like a regular automatic transmission if left alone (Yes, OJ, Chrysler says it does. Your car is possesed) and, like a regular automatic, the car computer will override the drivers' gear selection should it be deemed "necessary".

Intrepid....we all know what the button on the side is. You're either pulling our leg or you don't know that you have a regular auto and that you don't have ANYTHING like the 2000+ Eclipse auto which has the tiptronic type autoshifter.
You have an automatic, 420a motored Avenger. I'll let you do the research.....I'm done.
No, I'll guide you so that you don't pass misinformation around and have folks thinking that we have an "autostick" like the 2000+ Eclipse autos. Read what Chrysler says about their automatic transmission.
Here's more proof.
Is that enough for you Intrepid Scareface? It should be, it's all there for you to see. It clearly states "4 speed"
*man, I can't stop, lol.*

Hey Pappi, I use Firefox as my browser and in the "Tools" tab, there's an option to clear out the saved temp cache. I do it every so often and it allows me to not have so much server lag (unless the server is just naturally laggy that is).
No, because when someone says it's a standard, it also means it's a manual. BTW, a standard was what a car was called when referrencing the transmission. A manual gearbox was the "standard" transmission, while an automatic was the "option", back in the day.
Unlike you saying your automatic car HAS an "autostick"....auto does not = autostick. An autostick transmission is a tranny that allows the driver to shift the forward gears but still allowing the tranny to behave like an "automatic" tranny when put into drive.

(2001-2003 Chrysler Sebring)
That's an autostick...do you see the "+" and "-" icons on the right side of the shifter? There are different variants of the shifter and where the "+" and "-" may be relocated, but you can't miss it. Having a "L" and a "2" after "D" like what you have is what one would call a standard automatic transmission.
Don't go sour over that Intrepid Scarface, I just proved to you what you asked me to. Accept the info and know it for future referrence. I just don't want misinformation in this forum.
