Wiring
1. Voltmeter - connect the gauges power wire to either the battery or the inside the cabin like the cig lighter power wire or anything in there that will give the gauge power...anything but the lighting that is.
2. Water temp - there should be a single wire that connects to the temp sensor to the gauge, then the gauge has it's own power and ground, the wire coming from the sensor goes to a signal wire that is then connected to the gauge.
3. Oil pressure gauge - there should be a single wire coming from the sensor and is connected just like the water temp sensor.
Most gauges, like the ones you're installing, are 2-3 wire applications, where black is ground, red is power, and then the signal wire (except the voltmeter) that comes from the sensor to the third wire which is the sensor wire (sometimes blue or purple, regardless, it's not colored like the power and ground wires, so you should be able to find it quickly).
I'm curious, did you buy the gauges second hand?
