Hey.. I need some help.. I have a 1996 Dodge Avenger ES with the 2.5 and what not and in the manual it says that when you lock the doors with the key fob that the horn honks to confirm that. Mine doesn't.. it locks them and flashes the inside lights twice but no horn..I have heard take it to the dealer.. but does that cost anything??? Thanx!!!

 

I have a '99 ES and mine does not honk when locking the doors.

Huh.. that is weird.. cuz in my welcome to dodge manual.. not the big manual.. a little one that is like a page long.. tells about the car and it says that you can feel the security of locking your doors or somethin with the key fob and the horn honks for lock confimation.. ya mine has the little green security light on the dash and stuff.. hmm.. i posted it on my yahoo autos and someone said that you have to use a scanning tool at the dealer.. but idk.. thanx 4 your opinions..
