ok when i stop and turn off the engine........it wont start back up again.....totally dead.......but when i drive after it gets jumped......the check engine light is on..........any ideas......im thinking new battery.....help help help...........thanks

 

did you do the key dance? turn the key to run/ off/ run / off / run / off then leave in the run position. the Check Engine light will flash a code, since it apparently has one. did you clean your terminals? does it drive like it always has? if there is no difference then it is either the battery or the connections keeping the battery from charging. do the lights and everything work except the starter? if there is no power to anything then it is most certainly battery.
when you first try to start it, do all the lights come on until you try to start it, and then everything goes out? if so, connection. these flimsytop terminals do suck, imo.
most auto parts stores can check your battery free of charge.

 

i just went to get a new battery......gonna try that......and yes i have no power whatsoever.......totally dead.......good luck to me lol
